Flu Campaign 2012 / 2013

The flu vaccination campaign for 2012/2013 will begin in October.  All patients that are deemed 'at risk' (see below) will be contacted by telephone or letter (from mid September) advising them to make an appointment.

If you consider yourself 'at risk', but do not receive a letter, please contact the surgery on Kilmarnock (01563) 522118 to make an appointment nearer the time.

 

'At Risk' Groups

Regular immunisation (vaccination) is given FREE OF CHARGE to the following 'at risk' patients in order to protect them from seasonal flu:

  • People aged 65 or over.
  • People with a serious medical condition.
  • People living in a residential or nursing home.
  • Main carers for an elderly or disabled person whose welfare may be at risk if the carer becomes ill.   
  • Pregnant Women
